Influence of physical activity during pregnancy in the backache.

Aims:
Benefits that physical exercise has are well known, but when we extrapolate in pregnant women many questions arise. The biggest uncertainty is to know if both processes, pregnancy and physical activity, is not detrimental to the process of gestation. In this investigation we will show physical exercise helps many women to prevent backache of pregnancy without causing any fetal problem.

Methods:
The study group is 152 Chilean pregnant women with many similar characteristics like: none of them carried constant physical activity before becoming pregnant, all the pregnant women have between 25 - 35 years old, not exceed the nutritional status of overweight and have a gestational age over 12 weeks. Were given a nutritional plan to all alike, but only 78 pregnant start a controlled physical exercise plan, the other 74 pregnant are not applied the physical exercise plan.

Results:
Of the 78 pregnant women who underwent to the physical exercise plan 7 suffered backaches, the others 71 had an uneventful pregnancy, only 2 developed gestational diabetes but by external conditions to those treated in this investigation. Of the 74 pregnant women who did not underwent to the physical exercise plan 39 pregnant had a backaches, at different stage of pregnancy, especially in the third trimester, the other 35 did not have complications during pregnancy, but all had a muscle aches.

Conclusion:
The physical exercise developed during the pregnancy seems to influence in the prevention of backache.

Physical Activity and Pregnancy.



In my oral presentation I will talk about the physical activity in the pregnant. This is very important because the different tipes of exercise that a pregnant can do have a great impact for her life, like a woman and for labor that will make in the future.
Also, is necessary that, like future midwife, we have this knowledge, and so educate the expectant mother.

Below I will present the outline of the presentation. I will start presentation with an:

Introduction, this will answer the next questions:

  • What is the physical activity?
  • What physical changes happens in the pregnancy?

Development, in this part I will explain all about of physical activiy in the pregnant:
  • International recommendations. 
  • Benefits.
  • Tipes of exercise. 
  • Contraindications.

Conclusion, this is the moment for us to reflect about physical activity, I will answer the question:
  • What is the importance of that topic of our professional life?

Me ...

Hi ! This day of autumn I will talk about me ... My name is Daniela Torrejón I am 21 years old. I live in Santiago de Chile but I born in Copiapó, this city is located in the north of Chile. Always talk about Copiapó because is a special place for me. I´m study midwifery in the Universidad de Chile. I love me career is so beatifull and special !!

My life is very simple and the things I like also. I like listen music, is a special part of my life, for anywhere I go, I go listen music, and I like so much go to concerts, for me is not very important who is the artist, but the experience is special. Also I like classical dance and see dance shows for any type. I love travel, see new places and know different styles of lifes. I love the food, icecream, cookies, in fact all the sweet food and also "house food" like carbonada, empanadas, cazuela, pastel de choclo, although, is not very healthy.

Well, I would like talk more for me, but I don´t have more time, my english teacher telling me: "time is over"
